Kristian is a qualified Electronics engineer with background from the Norwegian IT industry. Kristian is a first class programmer/software engineer and began working with MPL in 2007. Kristian was the main developer of the MultiSeis Live, the precursor to the Global Manager.
Kristian is now combining general management with further development of the Global Manager (guiding and supporting Jens) plus liaising with Lars to ensure combined aims and continued compatibility with the Project manager.
Lars is a qualified software engineer and has long experience in the Norwegian IT industry. Lars is another first class programmer and began working with us in 2008. He quickly became a highly valued member of the team constantly adding new ideas to the outlined modules of the Project Manager. Lars is currently the senior developer of the Project manager and add-on modules but additionally works with Kristian on both company and software/services direction.
Jens Kjetil Mehammer
Jens has been working with MPL since July 2012. Jens first started work as an electrician and worked for 8 years in a number of offshore projects such as Gullfaks, Snorre and Troll, before the start of an IT education at university. He now has long experience in the Norwegian IT industry as a Software Engineer. Jens is currently working closely with Kristian on support and development of the Global Manager.
Joe graduated with a Masters in Physics from the University of Oxford in 2012, joining the MultiPlot team shortly after. Joe spent his first few years developing his coding ability, meeting clients and getting hands on experience offshore. Joe gradually took on responsibility from Sean, and by 2019 was leading the direction of MultiPlot. After the merger between MultiPlot and MultiSeis Joe became a director at MultiSeis, with a focus on QC development.
Simon has 25 years experience working as a commercial developer. He joined MultiPlot in 2012 and was tasked with developing an efficient QC database and sync process that could provide remote QC services. This was a great success, and now forms the basis of all of the MultiPlot remote applications. Over the next 5 years, Simon continued to be an invaluable member of the MultiPlot team, playing a key role in the development of the new P/11 importer.
Paul joined us in July 2011 and has 15 years of an enthusiast's coding experience, creating technically challenging gaming software in the process. He is a very capable and versatile addition to our team having learnt good coding practice/techniques from technical online references. Paul settled in very quickly and soon produced good work for us. Paul is primarily involved in development & support of the Project Manager and add-on modules.
Dave is a qualified topographic surveyor and has 24 years experience in the seismic industry working for contractors and as a freelance consultant. Dave began working in seismic as a surveyor on land crews before moving to marine. He began developing MultiSeis in 1997 and formed MPL in 2001, ceasing offshore work in 2005 to focus on MPL. Dave has been easing back from from full time duties and from 2018 onwards will be very much part time, mainly in an advisory role, keeping a general overview and carrying out certain admin tasks.
Pamela joined the team early in 2008 following 4 years experience as an administrator. Pam fitted into the team very well indeed, her administrative thoroughness was just what was required within a team of programmers where admin was a weakness. Pam has Level 1 and 2 certificates in manual and computerised book-keeping, along with an ICB Diploma in Payroll management. Pam has been very much part time since 2012 after starting a family but has continued to give good value. Assisting Debs with accounts and keeping on top of office admin.
Sean Murphy is a qualified Electronics Engineer and has over 30 years experience in the seismic industry. Sean started work for GSI as a Systems Engineer in 1983, moving on to become a client rep by 1988. Sean developed QC tools during this period that would go on to become MultiPlot, which he started to license in 1990. In 2012, Sean made the decision to take on developers to re-write MultiPlot. Sean has enjoyed a gradual easing back from front line development and support since 2018, and now acts in an advisory capacity.
Debbie is the most recent addition to the team, joining MPL part time in November 2015. Debbie has worked in administration and payroll since 1989, working for a major insurance company, a probation service & a facilities management company. Debbie joined us during a difficult administrative period, slotting in seamlessly and played a major role in helping us through that period particularly with our accounts. Debs continues to give us good value her main focus being on accounts.
IT and Software Support
Matt joined MPL mid 2008 and has a natural leaning towards IT, with a history of building and repairing computers as well as some web design and networking. After a period of learning and adjustment, Matt became invaluable to MPL. Matt's primary responsibilities are customer/user support, general IT & software testing/feedback but he carries out many other tasks, one of the most valued is helping ensure our software and services remain user friendly.
